Peter is a seasoned IT veteran and change advocate with almost 30 years of experience in the information technology area and has led many technology teams and functions delivering impactful business value. In the last 8 years Peter has been focusing on Enterprise class solutions, including cyber, information standardisation, information reuse along with data protection and governance.
Over the past year he has established a new security operating model and enterprise-class cyber security function within the HSE. Peter’s current portfolio includes leading on the development of the HSE’s Cyber Strategy, and the implementation of an enhanced national incident response capability along with playbooks and incident rehearsals.
The portfolio also includes the implementation of enhanced Security Operations Centre and Cyber Incident and Event Management capabilities. One of the critical areas Peter has focused on was that of cyber security cultural change. This overarching programme has included standards, policies, communication, phishing campaigns and our cyber-learning and training modules for our 140,000+ employees.
